Hello! I'm Devin Comba
As an ecology enthusiast with a love for coastal communities, I am seeking opportunities that will facilitate my passion for working towards a sustainable future for all creatures.
As an ecology enthusiast with a love for coastal communities, I am seeking opportunities that will facilitate my passion for working towards a sustainable future for all creatures.
I am a Marine Biology Master's student at Texas A & M University at Corpus Christi under the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Pollack of the Harte Research Institute. Funded by the NOAA Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions (EPP/MSI) through the Center for Coastal and Marine Ecosystems (CCME), my thesis research explores community differences between intertidal and subtidal oyster reefs, as well as an analysis of the restoration efficacy of biodegradeable aquaculture bags versus their plastic counterparts. My passions lie in fisheries ecology, restoration and conservation, and biological oceanography. I value environmental education and stewardship, interdisciplinary research, and effective communication between peers and with the public. I’ve worked as an intern and a research assistant in several labs throughout my college career. Check out my Experience and Skills pages for details.
The world is my oyster, so I'm open to opportunities that provide both growth and a chance to impact my environment for the better!
