Accepted into the Honors College as an entering freshman, I enrolled in honors-level departmental courses during freshman and sophomore year. I optioned many of my upper-division courses for honors credit with the completion of additional projects, papers, or presentations. I received Sophomore Honors Distinction recognizing efforts during my first and second year. To receive College Honors, I defended an undergraduate thesis in May 2019.
Awarded by the Ogden Honors College
Sophomore Honors Distinction was awarded to Honors students who had maintained a 3.5 GPA and were on track to complete a senior thesis and achieve College Honors upon graduation. This was an acknowledgement and celebration for reaching the halfway point of the undergraduate honors program.

Vice President 2018/2019: Serving as the Vice President my senior year, I spearheaded recruitment, assisted other officers with their duties, and facilitated apparel sales. In Fall 2018, we welcomed 32 new members, an increase from the 24 recruits of Fall 2017. I managed data for the organization, including the applications, membership updates, and individual members' points.
College Committee Chair 2017/2018: I lead the College Committee in bringing campus-wide involvement to the organization. Each committee member represented their senior colleges, collaborating with each other to provide Tri Beta members with opportunities from all fields of study. My focus was on interdisciplinary cooperation, encouraging the committee and the organization to explore the connections between biological sciences and other fields.
College Committee Member 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019: I represented the College of the Coast and Environment during my three years of involvement. Most of the social opportunities I brought to the organization included seminars presented by CCE as well as several conferences that were hosted by the college, such as the two-day "Corals in Crisis" event.
